Tina Micklethwait


Tina Micklethwait is an international communications consultant. For more than 25 years she served in a number of positions with the United Nations, in New York, London and Geneva. She created the first regular women's programs for the UN Radio and Visual Services and covered several international and regional Women's conferences. As Chief of the Department of Public Information's Special Programmes, Ms. Micklethwait supervised major events and activities at UN Headquarters including co-sponsored events with UN and outside partners, film and TV co-productions and publications, training programs for third world broadcasters and journalists, internship programs and training programs in public speaking for senior UN officials. In 2001 Ms. Micklethwait was appointed Deputy Director of Communications at the International Labour Organisation in Geneva. Ms Micklethwait is a member of the UNA-UK policy advisory committee and the international committee of the UK Women's National Commission.
