Tina Micklethwait

Trustee

Tina Micklethwait served in several positions within the United Nations (UN) for more than 25 years. She created the first regular women's programs for the UN Radio and Visual Services and covered several international and regional women's conferences. As chief of the Department of Public Information's Special Programmes, she supervised major events and activities at UN Headquarters including co-sponsored events with UN and outside partners, film and TV co-productions and publications, training programs for broadcasters and journalists, and internship programs. In 2001, Tina was appointed Deputy Director of Communications at the International Labour Organisation in Geneva. She was also appointed coordinator for the UN Pavilion at EXPO in 2005. After leaving the UN, Tina continued to work as a consultant for international organisations including Salzburg Global Seminar, where she was director of communications for four years.
